How it all started
Since the early 2000’s, Alfred B. Jones II, better known as “Jr.” has been building porches, fixing roofs, and remodeling bathrooms. His father, Alfred B. Jones I, worked in upholstery from a shop in the back yard in New Bern, NC. Jr. learned to work with his hands from a young age, and at 17 began making a living as a free lance contractor.
The Jones story
Soon after moving to Greenville in 2012, Jr. officially started the A.B. Jones Construction LLC. What once was a one-man team is now a true family business. These days, 12 years later, his sons, Bryan, Bradley, and Donnie work on job sites with him. Jr.’s wife, April, and daughter, Nicole, work behind the scenes as cleaning professionals and marketing managers.
The Jones approach
Because they are a small family team, each job is done with the same level of care and precision. Most folks hear about Jr. and his sons’ work through word of mouth, as happy clients recommend them to others. The Jones’ believe in strong, long lasting client relationships. This is evident as they complete multiple different types of jobs for many of the same clients. Jr. has made a name for himself, and set the standard for his sons, for high quality work.
